DeDNAed consortium meets in Chemnitz for 4th General Assembly
From 28-29 September 2022, members of the DeDNAed consortium met online and in person at TU Chemnitz for the 4th General Assembly. Occuring at the midpoint of the 3-year project, the 4th GA served as an occasion to review project progress and address upcoming challenges.
We are pleased to announce that at this point, all biosensing elements are finished. Now we’re moving to the stage where all components of the biosensor platform can be combined to form the DNA origami hybrid.
On 28 September, each work package presented its progress with time for discussion regarding challenges and improvements. In the afternoon, the consortium took a tour led by project coordinator Danny Reuter of the MAIN building and ZfM premises at TU Chemnitz. This was followed by an optional experiment session led by project manager Julia Hann, in which project partners could see for themselves how DNA Origami can be immobilized on surfaces and how the surface where the origamis are immobilized is structured. Â A social dinner was a welcome end to an intensive day.
The second day was structured for productive discussions on disparate topics, from scientific to dissemination. The hybrid event allowed participation from members across Europe. Take a peek at some highlights from the meeting in our short video on LinkedIn.
